In the modern world, the feminism movement has worked against great barriers to break down women’s gender expectations. However, the body positive movement continues to utilize stereotypically feminine-presenting women for the use of advertising and marketing products and brands. This has continued to directly affect the ways young girls feel as though they must present their bodies to the world, through a hyper-critical lens. This poster series, featuring feminine pink tones juxtaposing it’s strong messaging and sharp, angular form aim to raise awareness surrounding the use if idealized images in media.
